Safari Park

I found a drive through safari park, very similar to the one Jeff and I used to go to out in Virginia.  This one had a lot of big cats, bears, and other carnivores.
I was really impressed with the quality of the facility.  They are also known as one of the top breeders of cheetahs in the US.
Lots of large animals allowed to roam free.  Had a great time taking pictures and watching the animals do their thing.

The smoke from the fire south of the park was really getting to me.  My eyes were getting itchy and watery by the time I left.  Interesting,  that one of the mother cheetahs was pacing  her cage carrying around one of her kits.  Was cool to see, and I asked one of the cat volunteers some questions, because it didn't seem like normal behavior.  They were thinking that the strong smell of smoke had set off her flight instinct to relocate the den.  But, of course she couldn't get away, so she was pacing around her enclosure carrying the baby.  Poor thing.
