Oregon Caves NM

I put some miles on the car and got down to southern Oregon to stop by and check out this monument.   I ended up camping at an exceptionally beautiful county park called Grayback,  which was on the way up to the caves.  Hardly anyone there, big sites, and I found a nice spot near the trout stream.  Very relaxing and nice big old growth trees.  Oh, and oddly two sites down from me was a guy that grew up in Slater.  Small world.

I ran into another single female traveler, so I invited her to come on over and socialize for a bit.  She is a lot like me, an open ended trip with no set dates or destinations.  Only she had just started (she was on her 4th day), and she was heading north instead of south.  She asked for a ton of advice and recommendations, so I obliged and gave her all my old travel guides for Oregon.  Neat gal.  We did the cave tour together the next morning, it was pretty cool!  Not the best formations I have ever seen, but a great tour and a fun guide.  After the cave tour we parted ways and I headed down to the Redwoods in California.
