Olympic NP - Ruby beach thru South beach
After getting my equipment dried out, I was a little hesitant to go back down by the beach to camp. When I got to Ruby Beach, there was still a lot of the coastal mist/fog. I decided to give the beaches one more chance to clear off, even though I knew it meant wet equpiment again. I also wanted to try one last day exploring the beaches. Hit Ruby Beach, beach 3, and Kalaloch. Saw lots of gray whales (at least that is what someone told me they were, someone else said they were Minke?)
The weather didn't break, and it was even wetter than Mora, and I didn't pick up any more firewood. Meant a cold wet night.
Once again, people came though for me. The neighbors realized I was camping alone, and invited me to join them by their fire. Wonderful people, and we shared a lot of good stories. Was very thankful to have at least half of my body warm and dry. Karl even invited me over for coffee in the morning. So I crammed all my wet stuff in my trunk, and had a nice talk with him over coffee. Then headed off for some tide pooling at beach 4. I really do love all the sea creatures!
