Canyonlands NP

Took a break after sleeping in my car and stayed at a hotel last night.  Yay for hot showers!  I took three 😁  the hot tub felt good on my knees and back.

After driving around Moab for over 2 1/2 hours, I finally found a place to put my tent.  Hotels average around $200 a night, so camping in Moab is high on my list.  I found a hostel, which is a new experience for me.  So far so good.  But it is close quarters in the open tenting area, so hopefully I will have good neighbors. 

I tried to get into Arches NP around 11 this morning, but the line was way too long.  So I flipped around and headed over to Canyonlands NP.  Good hikes there today.  Wow.  This place is BIG!  Beautiful and VAST. Feels like you can see almost forever. 

Tomorrow I will try and get up early and hit Arches NP.  I stopped by the visitor center on my way back into town, and noticed one of the main areas is closed for road construction for the summer.  Bummer, will have to put this one back on the list.
